Transferring Armor?
A couple of threads on other topics got my juices flowing...
Is it possible to: 1. Have one of your characters put their armor in storage. 2. Delete that character. 3. Create a new character with the same name (same class as well). 4. Have them access the storage and use the customized armor, since it is "customized" to their name. Has anyone tried this? I may create a dummy character to see if this is possible... |

no it's not. The armor is tied to a database entry called a Dynamic Link. When you delete the character you delete the link and therefore the armor is no longer customized to you. The name has nothing to do with it.

Hey along the same lines, why can't we uncustomized our armor and sell it?
I don't quite understand the down side to being able to pay a fee to uncustomized weapons and armor. Do you guys have an idea why GW Dosen't do this? Athis |

The price would be high though. Otherwise you could customise, get bored, uncustomise and sell at will. The +20% dmg wont have a penalty with it.
Id love to Uncustomise some of my stuff |

What if the penalty was like having to pay 5K to uncustomized?
It costs like 10 gold to have it done, maybe the penalty would be the expense. |

If you can uncustomise weapons, then there's no point in customisation, if everyone does +20% damage, everyone might as well do +0% damage.

Armor cannot be passed from with PvE to another character, no matter whats. Stops people getting top level armor very quickly and easily.

To answer the op's question i had a level 20 warrior with full platemail armor, one day i decided that i didnt like the way my warrior looked so i decided to delete it and make another warrior with the same name. The armors and the weapons that were customized for my previous character was no longer usable.

Think of it like a social security number in the real world. If someone else comes along with the same name as you, they can't access your info using their social security number. |
